Cable grommets are offered for popular cable sizes. They help prevent rust in exterior applications where moisture is a factor by providing a barrier between the cable and the painted or powder-coated surface. Alternatively, they help prevent noise in interior applications by dampening vibration in the cables. These cable grommets are installed into holes after the paint or powder coating is applied.

This cable grommet works with 1/4" cable diameter. It is intended for either of the following: a 1/4" cable brace or square/rectangular tube with .250" wall in an intermediate post material not slotted for a stairway; or square/rectangular tube with .250" wall for an end post material using a radius ferrule or Push-Lock® or Pull-Lock® fittings. A hole diameter of 5/16" in the post or cable brace is required for proper use. Each package contains 100 grommets.

Cable grommets are not required for Push- or Pull-Lock applications where fittings extend through both walls of the post frame.
